Venezuela: Chavez Mania

Hugo Chavez was the president of Venezuela for 14 years. Chávez described his policies as anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist and called his socialist government a Bolivarian Revolution. He won another six-year presidential term on October 7, 2012 defeating opposition candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski by 11 points but died of cancer on March 5, 2013. These photos were taken during his final presidential campaign.
