Sharon Steinmann is an award-winning photojournalist based in Houston, Texas.
She has documented many stories of international impact, including the AIDS epidemic in Honduras and the displacement of Hurricane Katrina victims. Her photographs of the aftermath of Hurricane Ike were part of a package chosen as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize at the Houston Chronicle.
After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in anthropology, she worked for more than a decade at newspapers in California, Texas, Alabama and Washington State.
Sharon speaks fluent Spanish and is available for assignments worldwide.
